In Sudan’s Nuba Mountains, decades of conflict have limited access to education for countless children. TMM envisioned a model school that would provide not only quality education, but also hope, stability, and opportunity for generations to come. 

Response

IDD partnered with TMM to develop the master plan and architectural design for a phased campus serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade.

The campus was designed to balance immediate needs with long-term growth. Phase One establishes the essential learning spaces, while future phases introduce specialized educational facilities, student housing, and expanded community resources. Every aspect of the design supports a culturally relevant learning environment while remaining practical for phased construction and future expansion.

By creating safe and inspiring spaces for learning, the project supports TMM’s mission to strengthen education, preserve cultural identity, and equip future generations with opportunities for growth. Its phased approach allows the campus to begin serving students while providing a framework for continued expansion as resources become available.
