Gosour Headquarters

Strategy

Opportunity

Gosour is a growing organization using media to drive social growth and transformation across North Africa. When the organization established its headquarters in a four-story building in New Cairo, the opportunity was to transform an existing structure into a workplace that reflected its young, creative, and collaborative culture.

Response

IDD worked closely with Gosour’s leadership to understand how the team works, what they needed, and how they wanted the space to feel. An industrial aesthetic, defined by exposed wiring, raw ceilings, and unfinished materials, became the foundation for the design.

The building was reorganized to include flexible workspaces, meeting rooms, recording studios, communal areas, and a guesthouse. Materials, furniture, and equipment were carefully selected to create a cohesive environment while allowing each space to respond to the needs of its users.

IDD also remained involved through construction, working with the contractor to ensure the built project stayed true to the design vision.

Sustainability

The project reimagines an existing four-story building, giving the structure a new purpose rather than starting from scratch. The design approach also embraces the existing character of the building through exposed structural and service elements, reducing the need to conceal or replace them while contributing to the desired aesthetic.

Impact

The result is a vibrant workplace that feels distinctly Gosour—a space that supports collaboration, creativity, focused work, and connection.

More than an office, the headquarters provides a physical expression of the team’s energy and mission, giving Gosour a place where its people can create, connect, and grow together.
